The event will take place at the Barbican Conference Centre. The Barbican is located in the heart of the city of London and is accessible by rail, underground and road.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

BY ROAD

The nearest rail stations are King’s Cross/St Pancras, Liverpool Street, Farringdon and Old Street. City Thameslink services serve Barbican, Moorgate and Cannon Street.

 

The nearest Underground station is Barbican, on the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines. To reach the Barbican Conference Centre, exit the station and cross Aldersgate Street in front of you. Walk through the road tunnel (Beech Street), at the end of the road crossover on the pedestrian crossing to Silk Street. The Conference Centre will be just ahead of you to the right.

 

Other Underground stations nearby are Moorgate, St Paul’s, Bank, Liverpool Street and Mansion House.

 

Bus Route 153 stops outside the Barbican in Silk Street. Starting from outside Liverpool Street Station, it runs daily to the Barbican, Angel and Finsbury Park. Other services running near the Barbican are as follows: 8, 23, 35, 43, 55, 56, 100, 133, 141, 243, 271, 4, 21.

The Barbican is clearly sign-posted and has four car parks. Two are off Beech Street (westbound access only) and two are off Silk Street near the main entrance. All car parks have a height restriction of 6’1”. The postcode is EC2Y 8DS. Barbican car parks operate a pay-on-foot system online or by phone: Book online at the Barbican website (reduced booking fee) or through the Box Office on 020 7638 8891.

 

If the Barbican car parks are full, alternative parking is available in Euro Car Parks, Charterhouse Square, EC1M 6AN, NCP Aldersgate Street, EC1A 4HR or NCP Finsbury Square, EC2A 1AD.

 

The Barbican has a number of cycle racks available for its patrons. Eight are located at the entrance to Car Park 5 and five are located at the exit to Car Park 3. Cycle helmets and other equipment can be left in any of the Barbican’s free cloakrooms.

 

Coaches may set down and collect passengers in Silk Street. Limited coach parking is available in the metered bays in Silk Street and Fore Street.
